Lethbridge Composting Facility
Convertus acquired the Lethbridge Composting Facility in 2025, marking one of its first operations in Alberta and expanding its presence in Western Canada. The facility supports the City of Lethbridge’s efforts to reduce landfill waste and improve composting services for both residents and businesses.
Located at the City’s Waste and Recycling Centre, the site began operations in April 2023 under a 10-year contract. It currently processes around 10,000 tonnes of organic waste each year using outdoor covered aerated static piles.
