LONDON, ON – Convertus demonstrated a fantastic display of team spirit at London Environmental Network’s (LEN) Green Game on Friday night, August 9th. The team cheered on the London Majors as they faced the Barrie Baycats at Labatt Park, the oldest baseball diamond in the world in London, Ontario.
The Green Game is an annual baseball game event held by the LEN to support local environmental initiatives, with 50% of ticket proceeds going to the organization’s programming.

The LEN’s mission is to bring together environmental organizations within the community to promote and encourage sustainability in London, a cause that Convertus has experienced firsthand Their goals at the LEN align closely with Convertus’ in closing the loop for a better future, which is why Convertus is committed to supporting LEN in their endeavours.
The game had a charged atmosphere, with anticipation building as both teams fought hard on the field. It was a slow start, with no runs until the near end of the game, when the London Majors delivered a decisive home run. The London Majors clinched the win with a thrilling 3-0 victory!
“It was such a great time – perfect weather, even if a few foul balls had me ducking.” said Ann-Marie Cooper, Communications Manager for Convertus, “The highlight for me was watching all the fun games between innings, especially the one where kids raced around the diamond. Plus, it was fantastic to hear that some Convertus employees even had the chance to meet the players after the game – which made it even more special.”
It was an amazing night of baseball, camaraderie, and community support. Convertus thanks everyone who came out to represent the company and showed their London pride! Supporting local teams and championing environmental initiatives has the potential to create a positive change in the community.
